SUMMARY:So Close
DESCRIPTION:In this course we will be building on our acting improv skills. Creating believable relationships\, noticing and reacting to our partner’s minor changes and offers\, deepening the alternative realities of your first offer. \nSo Close is the format developed by Mash Muravina and Samy Belmont Benameur inspired by the scripted play “Constellations” by Nick Payne. It explores the alternative realities of the same relationship. The scene starts the same\, but the characters react to each other differently which leads to very different outcomes. \nWhat if you didn’t react like that in an argument? What if you told her how you feel? What if you did play hot and cold? Will you characters manage to get closer to each other or will be driven apart? \nLet’s play grounded relatable scenes that will make the audience see themselves in you and root for you. \nThere will be no class on 14 October. The showcase is planned on 9 December. \n  \nThis course is sold out. Alternatively\, check out these courses for experienced improvisers: Rich Characters\, Rich Scenes on Wednesday\, Familiar & Strange on Tuesday or Radical Positivity on Monday.
