Film Noir: From the Big Screen to Improv – Manuel Speck

The Film noir is a classical movie genre, that often describes crime dramas. The world in those stories are dark, the heroes broken and hopeless and everything seems to fall apart.

In this workshop we work on the classical elements and rules of this particular movie genre and see how we can use those for a film noir-based style in an improv show. We learn different techniques for transitions, voice-over narratives, scene painting, the typical archetypes and story plotlines.
