— Grounded, multilayered and specific characters
This workshop will focus on playing grounded, real characters. We will explore how to create characters who don’t just come alive for a few minutes, but feel like they lived a life before the scene started, and will continue their life when the scene ends.
It’s a workshop all about improvised acting and how we can challenge ourselves, and the trust of our scene partners, to not always take the path of least resistance. To not make choices that are only informed by our improviser training, but also let our choices be guided by our character and our inner director. We will work with playing realistic relationships, with conflicts and tension, how to use silence in scenes and holding on to our characters perspective as we train to make our character work grounded, multilayered and specific: making it real.
This workshop includes a showcase on Sunday afternoon, at 18:00.
