In this workshop you will learn how to bring any regular scene to a scene that matters.
You will work on recognizing emotional beats in a scene. Then, once you have found what emotion should happen when, you will amplify them to drive stakes and make connection. How can you use emotions to make what is important to your character, even more important. And how can you also use feelings to build the relationship with your scene partner.
Furthermore, you will discover in this workshop how to explore the transition within one emotion. For instance, how to go from irritation to rage.
You will be using emotions as the engine to not only forward scenes but also to make them compelling for an audience. The teacher Kathy Tanner is an expert in this herself: she has been captivating the audience’s attention for decades and decades as a sought after actress and improviser.

I came from Ireland to Austria in 1972. I have worked in many fields of theatre: stage, musical and film actor, improviser, voice over, teacher. I was the first CliniClown in Europe and its artistic director for 8 years. Keith Johnstone was my inspiration to improvise and I worked and directed with him for many years.
I retired officially some time ago which means absolutely nothing in this profession. 😁
