Physical theatre reminds us that the body can hold intention, emotion, and story long before words appear. In this course, we’ll take that idea further – using movement, rhythm, scale, and presence to shape bold physical choices that spark characters and transform relationships on stage.
We’ll work with tools that expand your physical range: exploring impulse, weight, tempo, spatial awareness, and emotional physicality as the engines of play.
Using this, we’ll build characters that come from your body rather than your brain. You will also discover how committing physically can give you clarity, tension, and surprise.
This course is for you if you are an experienced improviser who wants to break out of patterns and play characters that are bold, clear, and present.
