When I discovered improv, it felt like a new, exciting world ahead of me. However, I had no idea how to approach all the far and wide possibilities.

In this ‘Beyond the Basics’ course, we will work on scene work, from breaking ground on stage to laying the first bricks of the scene, navigating through the blueprints of what has already been established, and leaving the scene when it is time to go home.

David will teach the class in English. You do not need to be fluent: the group mostly consists of players for whom English is their second language.
The subscription to this course is for 8 weeks, and is included as part of the Explorer, Adventurer and Trail Blazer memberships.

When asked how many years of experience I have in improv, I could say 5 years plus some years of theatre, but doesn’t it sound more cool to say that I have over 2000 hours of improv under my belt?
Even though it feels like my improv journey has just begun, my life has been filled with artistic exploration. My first childhood memories are of me painting with crayons. Since then, I have sculpted, tried my luck with the guitar, ignited the flame of scripted theatre, and finally settled for the ever-changing, surprising art form of improv.
Currently, I teach, perform, learn, organize, direct, and since, let’s say “recently”, I have been creating improv formats.
