Theatre has always involved improvisation—whether during the writing process, the creation of characters, or even live performances (planned or not!). It’s a powerful tool for any actor who wants to grow their skills, whether working with scripted or unscripted theatre.
In this course, you will be exposed to the secret to creating believable characters and relationships on stage, while staying true to a theatrical style. We will work on our physicality on stage and how the awareness of body language can feed the stories we are creating. You will also deepen your connection with scene partners, co-creating seamlessly in the moment. Through carefully designed exercises, we will develop your spontaneity and help you strengthen your acting skills.
This course is inspired by techniques used to coach actors and is part of the acting program at the Film School of Łódź in Poland.
Take a deep dive into the world and techniques of unscripted theatre for the stage!
This course is primarily designed for theatre actors, acting students and professional performers in order to develop their skills through improvisation training. No previous experience in improvised theatre is required.
