Improvised narrative longform

Do you want to improvise a full length play? In this course, you will learn how to build a satisfying narrative on the spot. We will work on creating a story, as well as characters and the world of the play – without getting in our head about it.

Jenny is an experienced improv player and director and has developed and performed numerous longform formats, from lighthearted comedy to musical to immersive theatre. She will lead you in exercises on the various skills needed in narrative longform, such as defining the main character, editing scenes and creating variation. You will learn a narrative longform format and perform it in the showcase, but you will also gain inspiration on how to design your own format.
