Maestro: become a Short-Form Master

Learn the legendary format!

Improv legend Keith Johnstone invented Maestro at a Utrecht improv festival in the 1990s. Since then, it’s become an enduring format performed around the world: not a competition, but a show about a competition.

In this course, you’ll learn how to play many of the short-form games that comprise Maestro, and become an expert on performing or even directing the format.

Like Maestro itself, this class is great for anyone, whether you have 3 months or 10 years of improv experience. Kevin is a very experienced and smart teacher, who can teach a thing or two about bringing energy and skill to the stage.

Want to know more about the format and why it’s so fun? Check out Kevin’s blog at
